Log Files:

Sidekick Tools follows a standard practice of using log files. These files record visits to our website. Most hosting companies do this as part of their analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), date and time stamps, referring and exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. We use it to analyze trends, administer the site, understand how visitors move around the website and gather general demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons:

Like most websites, Sidekick Tools uses cookies. These cookies store information such as visitors’ preferences and the pages on the website that a visitor accessed or visited. We use this information to improve your experience by customizing our web page content based on your browser type and other information.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie consent banner on our website.

Information we collect through the Sidekick Tools app:

When you use the Sidekick Tools app, we collect and process the following information:

  • Account information. Your name, your email address and the method you use to log in: email and password, a one-time code sent to your email, Google or Facebook.
  • Marketplace connection. When you connect a marketplace account, Sidekick Tools stores only a login session cookie. Sidekick Tools never stores your marketplace passwords.
  • Listing and sale details. To run the Service, we process details about your listings and sales, such as the item, brand, category, size, condition, price, sold date and marketplace.

How we use sales data:

Sidekick Tools uses sales data only in anonymized, aggregated form. It does not identify you or any seller. We use it for market reports, comps (pricing comparison) guides for users, and a newsletter. In this anonymized, aggregated form, sales data may be shown publicly in those market reports, comps guides and the newsletter for up to 90 days.

Publicly available marketplace data:

We may compile publicly available sold-listing facts, such as price, item, brand, sold date and marketplace, for aggregated market analysis. We do not publish seller identities.

Legal basis and consent:

We process your information as needed to provide the Service you signed up for, to communicate with you, to keep the Service secure and to meet our legal obligations.

By using the Sidekick Tools app, you agree that your sales data may be used only in anonymized, aggregated form, with no seller-identifying information, for market reports, comps (pricing comparison) guides for users, and a newsletter.

This sales data does not identify you or any seller. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter and marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email.

Advertising Partners Privacy Policies:

Each of the advertising partners of Sidekick Tools has its own privacy policy.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on Sidekick Tools. These are sent directly to your browser, and the ad servers automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites you visit.

Note that Sidekick Tools has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Third Party Privacy Policies:

The Sidekick Tools Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to read the privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. They may include their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.

You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings. For more detailed information about managing cookies in a specific web browser, see that browser’s website.
